Coaches

The coach body was die cast in the white metal alloy zamak, with two bogies riveted to it.

The bogies each had a pair of wheels and were different castings, the leading one had a pin and the trailing one had a towing slot eye, as part of the coupling mechanism.

In the case of the BR main line coach, the roof was a separate casting and had Lone Star moulded in high relief on the inside.
